About Therapy

I am a therapist in the Encino area.  I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression and relationship issues.  I do this by focusing on increasing self-esteem, confidence, awareness of feelings, appropriate boundary setting, and assertiveness.  One of my main goals in treatment is to help you develop a more cohesive and positive sense of self and to help you experience and maintain healthier and more satisfying relationships.

Psychotherapy can address a wide range of issues including managing stress, creating a better work-life balance, overcoming anxiety and self-criticism and alleviating depression.  Therapy helps by creating new and sometimes dramatically different ways of looking at yourself, your relationships and your world, which can bring about solutions to even longstanding, seemingly insurmountable problems.  Therapy can help you access the feelings that lead to a richer day-to-day experience

I use a variety of modalities depending on the needs of my clients. These modalities include psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, object-relations, experiential, humanistic and mindfulness therapies.  I believe in an eclectic approach to therapy combining relational work, psychodynamic exploration and behavioral exercises.

Individual therapy can break the cycle of unsatisfying relationships, experiences and life choices.  Individual therapy can help you create new solutions to longstanding problems.
